Gnome : adding a shortcut to a panel, ( /root/Desktop/a does not have a
.desktop extension )

This one adds 'gedit' to the 'panel'.
/usr/libexec/gnome-panel-add
--launcher="/usr/share/applications/gedit.desktop" --panel="top_panel"
Let's change it so it can add a our own file's shortcut to the panel.
/usr/libexec/gnome-panel-add --launcher="/root/Desktop/a" --panel="top_panel"
error:
/root/Desktop/a does not have a .desktop extension
let's try adding .desktop to the file.
/usr/libexec/gnome-panel-add --launcher="/root/Desktop/a.desktop"
--panel="panel_1"
this time
NO ERRORS
but also
NOTHING HAPPENED.
